They’re green: As well as teaming up with eco-charity Cool Earth, EVEC have now made their VEC03 charger solar compatible! Once installed the VEC03 will automatically start using your solar panels’ power, and if you don’t have enough solar power to complete your charge, it will switch to grid power for uninterrupted charging.

The EVEC smartphone app gives you access to remote control features such as scheduling charges, monitoring usage, viewing charge status and starting and stopping charges, all from your mobile device.

HOW FAST DO EVEC CHARGERS VEC01 AND 03 CHARGE?
Both the VEC01 and 03 have adjustable charging power up to a maximum of 7.4kW, which is more than three times faster than a regular 3-pin plug, though the exact charge time for your car will depend on your vehicle type and battery size.
ARE EVEC CHARGERS TETHERED OR UNTETHERED?
The EVEC chargers come in both tethered and untethered options. The tethered version comes with a 5m cable but if you purchase the untethered version, you can add an optional cable, should you need it.
WHAT MAKES EVEC EV CHARGERS DIFFERENT?
EVEC was founded with the mission of ‘removing the barrier to EV ownership by providing affordable electric vehicle charging solutions for everyone’. They have also teamed up with the charity Cool Earth to tackle deforestation and reduce their carbon footprint.
We had Josh come out to fit an Ohme charge pod. He was excellent; quick, efficient and friendly. He even swept the floor after himself and changed something that he noticed had been left in an unsafe condition by our electricians. So impressed, would highly recommend.
